Desertas Islands Tour – Bonita de Madeira

Full-Day Desertas Islands Tour

Desertas Islands Tour – Bonita de Madeira

€80 per person

Bonita da Madeira’s boat cruises in Madeira are excellent. It sails different routes around Madeira as well as the Desertas Islands every Wednesday and Saturday.

The Desertas Islands are part of a natural reserve set up to protect the Monk seal and is also a safe haven for many different kinds of seabirds. Desertas has beautiful colored rocks, tall sea cliffs, and a sea cave that make up its landscape. As part of the trip they stop in Doca, a small cove with clear blue water where you can swim, for about 45 minutes. After a delicious hot meal, you’ll be able to take a guided tour on island.

Bonita is a 23-meter-long  ship that has nine cabins, in addition to a lounge, kitchen, and minibar. There is plenty of room on the deck for sunbathing, as well as a common area where meals are served. This vessel can accommodate up to fifty people at its highest capacity. Expect to encounter dolphins, whales, and turtles on your trip.

TOUR LOCATION

Most boat tours begin and end at the marina in Funchal. The majority of boat tours depart from the new marina, which is located the farthest out from the harbor. It is a roughly fifteen minute walk from the harbor to the marina. Most boat tours recommend that passengers check in 15–20 minutes prior to departure.
