Catamaran Dolphin Tour
The Madeira catamaran dolphin and whale tour is the most sought-after option. During this trip, one of the most enjoyable experiences you might have is seeing dolphins swim very close to you. About 90% of the time, you will witness whales or dolphins. The trip takes approximately three hours and occurs twice each day, every day. It anchors in front of Cabo Giro, Europe’s highest sea cliff, offering a swimming and snorkeling opportunity. The Madeira Catamaran company has three catamarans that go out. The “Sea Pleasure” and “Sea the Best” are quite big, and can take up to 70 and 98 people, respectively, but the new double-decker “Sea Nature”, taking up to 220 people, tops them both. All have a covered area and have refreshments and toilets on board. They also do daily sunset trips, during the summer months.

TOUR LOCATION
Most boat tours begin and end at the marina in Funchal. The majority of boat tours depart from the new marina, which is located the farthest out from the harbor. It is a roughly fifteen minute walk from the harbor to the marina. Most boat tours recommend that passengers check in 15–20 minutes prior to departure.
