Queimadas Walk

The walk through the tropical rainforest (Laurisilva Forest) at Queimadas has to be the most beautiful in all of Madeira. Firstly, we follow the trail next to the historic Levada do Caldeirao Verde, which leads to a secluded spot on the island with breathtaking views of the northern shore. After passing through a few short tunnels, we reach the magnificent waterfall that serves as the caldron at Caldeirao Verde. Those who undertake this Madeira Levada walk will be treated to a breathtaking panorama of greenery. The Queimadas walk is a favorite among island hikers.
